Why do I have to pay my deductible? Another contractor said they will take care of it.
Colorado law requires policy holders to pay their deductible as described in the policy. In 2012 Colorado Senate Bill 38 (SB38) became law according to Colorado Revised Statute 6-22-101 to 6-22-105 A.K.A. the "Residential Roofing Bill of Rights". The law forbids roofing contractors from "paying, waiving, rebating the deductible in part or in whole". That means you legally must pay your deductible if paying for a roofing repair over $1,000 with insurance proceeds.
When do I have to pay you for my roof?

If your roof is being replaced through and insurance claim, we require payment to be made at the time materials are delivered, prior to commencement of construction. This protects you from a contractor not fulfilling their contract and allows us to pay our material bill and pay our hard working installers. Its a win win for everyone.

If insurance is not involved, we collect a deposit or down payment at the time you decide to have us replace your roof or any other service we offer. For financed jobs, no deposit is required. Otherwise, we collect 50% of the project cost as a deposit to be held in trust until material is ordered.
